Dear Marjane Satrapi,
Persepolis is a very astonishing book. It is a very educational book and teaches the readers a bit more on the Islamic war. I can now understand Marjane's family went through while the war was going on. Reading the book helped me understand why the Islamic war happened. Many were against the Shah's regime. It helped me understand how many emperors mistreated people and took away many human rights, like their education. Social classes took over many peoples lives and determined who they were.
My life can be a whole different story from Marjane's life. Now a days the social classes have become less important. They still exist but now anyone can be around any social class without being left out. In order to have a normal life you should be well educated and have a career to pull your life together. Its hard now to get what you want. The world is going through a stage that money is becoming a huge problem. We have so many debts to pay and not enough money. It feels like we are at war, finding a way to get through this and pulling our family together. Life might of been difficult for Marjane and her family, going through the war. But life for us is difficult too. We have to fight in order to survive. Why were many people antisocial, many just stayed within their own class. How were the higher class affect with the lower class if they were to communicate in a more deeper conversation?
